UW Huskies Outlast the Wahine from Hawaii
The University of Washington Huskies Volleyball program was very vocal about their respect for the University of Hawaii Wahine Volleyball team before Saturday's NCAA Tournament second round match-up Saturday night at the Alaska Airlines Arena. Several times in the media it was mentioned that UW felt that Hawaii should have been seeded and should have hosted a first and second round bracket. In the end, UW took advantage of their home court advantage and outlasted the Rainbow Wahine in a five set thriller.
The big win will help prepare Washington for an even tougher task next weekend as they travel to Omaha, Nebraska to face the number four seeded Nebraska Cornhuskers in the sweet 16. More information will be available about how to watch the Nebraska Match later in the week. In the mean-time, enjoy some of the great UW coverage from these sites:

UW Rolls Through First Round, WWU Says Aloha in the Regionals.
The University of Washington Huskies rolled to a straight set victory over the Sugar Bears of Central Arkansas to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament and difficult match-up against the University of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine.
The Huskies fell behind early to the Sugar Bears, but in the end were never really tested by the first time NCAA Tournament performers. There were some concerns with the UW serve receive after Sophomore Hitter Krista Vansant came out to rest her recently recovered ankle for the third set. The Huskies will need to have Vansant and the rest of the crew in full health Saturday night against Hawaii.
